Amma was born in the South of India in a remote fishing village in Kerala. From a young age She was aware of the divinity within all things. She began manifesting Divine States and moods which made the villagers think she was crazy. During these states or Bhavas the villagers would come to Her to be healed from physical and mental illnesses. Mother would individually hug each one and infuse them with Her energy. This method of recieving the devotes is called Darshan.

Mother now has an ashram called Amritapuri in her hometown of Kerala which till today is available for Westerners to come and visit or live with Her. Mother travels all year giving tours nationally where she individually hugs and blesses thousands of people a night while forever sparking the fire of their heart. She comes to the United States in November and May-July of each year. Her Darshans are free so if you are called check the website for her schedule and go and have Darshan of Ma.
