Frequently Asked Questions

Where are classes located?
Classes can be held in a yoga studio in which I teach, in my home or at your home.

How long are the sessions and when can they be?
Classes are usually between one hour and an hour and a half . Any length of time is negotiable. The time is worked out between us as to what would work best. A good time is one where there are the least distractions and one can be fully present and attentive.

How often is it advisable to meet?
Some people need to work only a few times to work on something. But usually it is much more beneficial to work over a length of time. The practice builds on itself and one session is not enough. The best is when a weekly time is set and can be kept regularly.

What is the policy regarding cancellations and time changes?
All cancellations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance or else the client is responsible to pay the full amount of the session. Exceptions are made due to sicknesses, emergencies etc. Classes should be taken seriously and the time should be held as sacred.

What is a typical class like?
Each class is different and geared toward the individual. Although in each session we chant from the scriptures and spend a few moments in meditation. The asanas, or postures help to bring about Self realization which is the true Aim of Yoga. So time will be spent to learn and educate ourselves about Yoga in its highest aspect of freedom from separation.

Can there be a private lesson for more than one?
Yes.!! A couple can work together or if a group of people want to organize a small private grup to meet at one persons house it is a lot cheaper that way for all involved.

Fees:
Fees are individually based depending on how long the session is, time I have to spend traveling, and frequency of classes. Discounts are given for buying many classes at once or for committing to meet more than once a week. If one has financial difficulty I will take that into consideration.

Do I need to buy anything to begin?
After our first session if you choose to continue we will need a few props to aid us in the practice. A Yoga mat, block and belt is helpfull. Also essential books relating to the Yoga practice is advisable. You can buy these items from me or buy them yourself.

All people are welcome regardless of health, fitness level, illnesses, age, race or religion. Yoga is a universal practice that works with and enhances whatever tradition that you do come from.
